Before You Start Preparing Interview Questions or Practicing Your Answers

There are several things you should do to prepare for that coming interview, but before you start preparing those questions or practicing your answers you should spend time researching the organization you are about to interview with. Take time to review their website and Google search the company name. It is important to not only know what a company does but why they do it. How does the company distinctly position themselves in the market and who are their competitors? Look for information on the company’s successes and challenges, and how this might impact your role within the organization.

Being intimately familiar with the company, its products, history, mission and vision will enable you to ask better questions during the interview, help you craft better answers, and enable you to articulate how you will fit in with the organization and help achieve its goals.
